I am Barbara. I’ve been working in Rome as a tour guide for more than ten years.

My academic background is in eastern european languages. I took my degree in russian and bulgarian. Anyway in high school I studied history, ancient greek and latin.

So, my decision to become a tourguide  was not surprising. I was always really fond of such topics like history, archeology and art history.

In 2009, after passing a difficult public exam, I became a licensed tourguide and now I am so proud.

My job allows me to keep on doing two of my greatest passions: the love for foreign languages and the one for Art History.

I had the privilege to be born and to live in Rome. For me, my city  is not only an endless source of beauty, but also a therapy. A walking in the ancient alleys of Rome can lighten my hardest days.
